...again! Wooooohooooo!
Where Aquarius and Taurus Collide
'twas the day before Christmas and Nathaniel got his first taste of wrapping paper
Making cookies requires serious concentration.
"Mommy look at all those cookies!"

This was Nathaniel's first Christmas. Not only that, but he got his first tooth AND learned to clap:

This is from Ava's Christmas Program at school on 12/20/07. She is standing next to her best buddy, Katelin.

Todd asked Elizabeth to marry him yesterday at the top of Rockefeller Center. http://www.topoftherocknyc.com/welcome.aspx She said yes, of course! The video is a bit blurry, but it looks to be one heck of a rock...

More progress. The brick was complete on Thursday and it was drywalled today. We'll probably be closing near the end of December.

The kids had a great time trick or treating around my parents neighborhood last night. Ava had fun with her friends Rachel & Emily. Nathaniel was an adorable little spider and he was such a good boy...just hanging out while the girls trick or treated.
This is a video of the girls trick or treating. Ava is the ladybug, Rachel is a princess, and Emily is a bride...

I went by the new house again yesterday. I'm annoying like that. Everyone associated with building that house is going to cringe when they see the Camry round the corner or see my name pop up on caller ID. I just can't help myself. The outline of the house had been staked off for the slab to be poured...this is good! I met my new neighbor, Cliff...hanging in his driveway, having a smoke. I told him about myself and my family. He told me that he and his wife have grown kids and that their grandchildren are over often. I asked him if they live nearby and he described the location as the neighborhood that my parent's live in! That, my friends, is not a coincidence that city-people encounter...only in Smalltown, USA.

We signed the contract nearly a month ago now. It's been stated that we are essentially, homeless until at best December and at worst January. But we've been waiting for something, anything to happen at the little speck of earth where our house will eventually be. And yesterday, it finally happened. Dirt has been pushed around. Permits are posted. An under contract sign has been placed. Gravel has been dumped for the construction vehicles! It's not exactly a ground-breaking, but it's something.

...and my husband, and my two kids. Ok, I know L-O-S-E-R. What happened was this: At the very end of August we put our house up for sale. In this horrible market, we expected the thing to sit on the market while we decided where to actually move. To our joy, dismay, horror, shock, surprise, etc, etc, etc the thing sold in 6 days. I'm not kidding. We took a look at our resale options, but fell in love with a model home that had everything we could possibly want and more. One tiny problem...it isn't built yet and we're told that it will take 4 months. So you see, I live with my parents.
